Course Overview
The Marine Architecture and Offshore Engineering (Offshore Engineering) specialization is concerned with the design, construction and operation of ships and marine installations used in the seas and oceans. The specialization combines the principles of marine, mechanical and structural engineering to study ship hulls, stability and operating systems, as well as the design of offshore platforms and facilities for the oil, gas and renewable energy industries. It also aims to prepare engineers capable of developing safe and effective engineering solutions to meet challenges in different marine environments.
The most important thing that the specialization focuses on
Design of ships, boats and marine installations.
Analysis of ship stability and maritime performance.
Ship hull and offshore platform engineering.
Fluid Mechanics and Hydrodynamics.
Marine propulsion and operation systems.
Design of Offshore Structures.
Maritime safety and risk management.
The use of specialized engineering software in design and marine simulation.
