Course Overview
Special education is an educational discipline that aims to prepare teachers and specialists who are able to teach and care for students with special educational needs, and help them develop their academic, social, and independent abilities. The major focuses on understanding the characteristics of disabilities and learning disabilities, designing appropriate educational programs, and using modern teaching methods and assistive technologies in accordance with the needs of each student. Students also gain communication skills with families and work in multidisciplinary teams to support student integration into the learning environment.
