Course Overview
The specialization of pharmaceutical sciences is one of the health disciplines that is concerned with the study of medicines from the stage of discovery, development, to their manufacture and ensuring their quality and safety. The specialization aims to prepare specialists with scientific knowledge in pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, pharmaceutical technologies, and pharmaceutical analysis, with a focus on scientific research and development of new drugs. The student also gains skills to work in laboratories, pharmaceutical companies, and regulatory bodies, and is different from the clinical pharmacy major, which focuses on patient care and drug dispensing.
